Xin chào, tôi là Dorothy.
Hello, I’m Dorothy.
I’m a writer, traveler, and mental health advocate based in the sunny utopia of San Diego, though I’ll always call the Washington D.C. area my home.
I write fiction, semi-fiction,
& creative nonfiction.
An article from a local newspaper in Charles County, MD when my grandma, mom, and her siblings arrived in America after the Fall of Saigon in April 1975.
As the daughter of Vietnam War refugees, I’m passionate about lifting the stories and experiences of communities that don’t always have the platform to share their voices.
Occasionally, these stories will include robots and otherworldly things that help us explore the complexities of humans and their relationships.
Topics: gender, race, identity, prejudice, mental health, family systems, immigrant experiences, and intersectionality.
